Begin with a defined requirement
“Gold supplier in Uganda” can describe very different proposals: refined bars, doré, nuggets or material awaiting processing. For a useful first discussion, state the form, approximate quantity, current location, destination, preferred timing and the role of each party. A photograph or an indicative price is not enough to establish what can be supplied.
Examine the source and counterparty
Ask for the legal name of the proposed seller, the basis on which that party controls the material, and documents that can be checked independently. Confirm the people authorised to represent each company. The relevant business registrations, permissions and transaction documents depend on the parties and route; they should be checked with qualified local advisers before a commitment.
Define assessment before price
Record how weight will be established, how representative samples will be taken, who chooses the testing provider, and what happens if results differ. Doré and unrefined material need a commercial basis that accounts for actual composition and any agreed processing. Keep the chain of custody and the same material identity throughout those steps.
Plan the buyer handover
Agree the point at which responsibility, documents and payment obligations change hands. Origin and destination each affect the document review and delivery plan. Goldcrest welcomes a clearly described enquiry and can discuss the scope of support available for that specific proposal. No supply or licence is implied by this page.
