Describe the lot precisely
Specify the number of pieces, gross weight, present location, claimed origin and any previous test results. Doré is not the same as a standard refined bullion product; appearance and declared purity do not establish payable gold content. Ask how the lot has been identified and secured while it is inspected.
Set a fair testing procedure
Before money or material moves, agree the sampling method, witnessed weighing, independent assay provider, sealing and handling records. The proposal should explain which result determines the commercial calculation and how both sides resolve a material difference between assays. The sample must represent the lot that is actually delivered.
Check ownership and the proposed route
Review the seller’s identity and authority to sell, available source records, and the planned path through processing, movement and delivery. Confirm which party will arrange each service and which documents must be available at every handover. Requirements vary by origin and destination and need review for the actual transaction.
Prepare a meaningful enquiry
Tell Goldcrest the material form, approximate weight, current location, available assay information and intended destination. Identify what is confirmed and what still needs verification. We can then discuss whether the requirement is within a support scope that can be agreed; this page does not represent a standing offer of doré inventory.
